Biography
A graduate in film scriptwriting and holding a Bachelor's degree in Television from University of Quebec in Montreal, Edith Jorisch quickly made a name for herself in 2017 with The Heir, which won the Gémeaux awards for Best Documentary Direction and Best Documentary, in addition to winning awards at several festivals around the world. In 2017, her short film Awe, commissioned by Cirque du Soleil, premiered on the NOWNESS website. In 2021 her short film Tibbits Hill won the RVQC Best Fiction Film award. Curious to explore immersive storytelling, Edith has directed Plastisapiens, a Canada-Israel VR co-production with the National Film Board of Canada, which competed at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.
