Synopsis
June 1663: the first contingent of King's Daughters sets sail from La Rochelle for New France. Aboard the Aigle d'Or, these young women bound for marriage, the youngest just 13, face a perilous crossing that, over three months, will claim some sixty lives before finally bringing 36 survivors safely ashore.
