Biography

Initially trained as an actress at the Lionel-Groulx College, Sarah Berthiaume is also a playwright and a screenwriter. She wrote the stageplays "Le déluge après", "Disparitions", "Villes mortes", "We will live in Detroit", "Nyotaimori" and "Antioche", which was a great success at the Avignon Festival 2019. Her play "Yukonstyle", winner of the 2015 Sony Labou Tansi award, has been translated into several languages and will be adapted as a feature film. In television, she has been as script writer on the YA series Subito Texto (Zone3), finalist for the 2015 Gémeaux Awards in the best youth text category, then Tactik (Vivavision) on Télé-Québec. Sarah is also a collaborator on the literary radio show _Plus on est de fous, plus on lit _broadcasted on Ici Première (Radio-Canada).
